The international business and tax law firm P+P Pöllath + Partners will become a new partner of EBS Law School. The cooperation with the law firm, which specializes in high-end transactions and asset management, will start in May 2017. The aim of the partnership is to engage in joint activities in the field of national and international business law, to bring together academia and practice, and to provide internships and traineeships to high potentials.
As part of the cooperation, P+P will provide expert lectures and workshops with a strong practical focus from the everyday work of a renowned, internationally active corporate law firm. P+P also plans to participate in the annual Compliance Day of the EBS Center for Corporate Compliance and will take part in the EBS event format “Abendgäste aus der Praxis” (Evening Guests from the Practice). EBS students will also have the opportunity to benefit from P+P’s international network. P+P will also participate in the doctoral seminar as well as the EBS Law Congress. “EBS Law School is delighted about the new cooperation and about the broad range of services that P+P will make available to our students and doctoral candidates,” said Thomas Erler, Executive Director of EBS Law School.
P+P has an extensive training and development program for interns, trainees and attorneys. Every year, the firm trains around 50 interns and around 15 trainee lawyers at its three locations in Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich. As a result of the cooperation, P+P’s training program is now also open to students at EBS.
As an employer, P+P offers future young professionals a unique environment for personal and professional career development in addition to an attractive compensation system. Personal commitment and entrepreneurial spirit are extensively encouraged. P+P offers opportunities for flexible and individual working time models as well as a wide range of additional offers – from all-round catering for employees to broad professional and non-legal training for professionals. Last but not least, the structured non-legal skills program, which is firmly integrated into the practical training of all employees, should be emphasized. This program trains key qualifications and skills such as leadership, presentation and negotiation techniques, as well as imparting knowledge and methods of business development and project management. A mentoring program, in which a P+P partner individually accompanies a young colleague in career planning and development, rounds off the comprehensive offer for the lawyers.
